The Britax One4Life ClickTight is an all-in-one car seat designed to accommodate your child from the infant stage through the big-kid years. It transitions from a rear-facing car seat to a forward-facing five-point harness and then into a high-back belt-positioning booster.
With a child weight range of 5–120 lbs, the One4Life combines three seating modes, ClickTight installation, a 15-position no-rethread harness and headrest, nine recline positions, and a machine-washable SafeWash® cover in one long-lasting car seat.

Why Parents Choose the Britax One4Life
Three Stages in One Car Seat
The One4Life provides rear-facing, forward-facing harness, and high-back booster modes, allowing it to adapt as your child reaches new stages.
Extended Rear-Facing Capacity
Rear-facing mode supports children weighing up to 50 lbs and measuring up to 49 inches tall. Britax recommends keeping children rear-facing until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight permitted by the seat.
ClickTight Installation
Open the ClickTight panel, route and buckle the vehicle seat belt through the indicated belt path, remove excess slack, and close the panel. The built-in tensioning system helps secure the car seat in the vehicle.
Adjustable Fit Without Rethreading
The 15-position headrest and harness adjust together without requiring the harness straps to be manually rethreaded. This makes it easier to maintain the correct harness height as your child grows.
Nine Recline Positions
Nine recline positions and easy-read level indicators help parents find an appropriate seating angle for their child and vehicle.
Britax Safety Construction
The One4Life combines a high-strength steel frame, SafeCellâ„¢ energy-absorbing technology, a V-shaped tether, a protective shell, and a foam-lined headrest.
Easy-Care SafeWash Cover
The removable SafeWash cover is machine washable and dryer safe. Two removable cup holders provide convenient storage and can be removed for cleaning.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Britax One4Life be used for a newborn?
The One4Life begins at 5 lbs and 18 inches in rear-facing mode. A newborn must meet all stated requirements and achieve a proper harness fit. Unlike an infant carrier, the One4Life remains installed in the vehicle.
Is the Britax One4Life an infant carrier?
No. The One4Life is a convertible all-in-one car seat that stays installed in the vehicle. It does not detach from a base or connect to a stroller.
How long can my child remain rear-facing?
Rear-facing mode accommodates children weighing 5–50 lbs and measuring 18–49 inches tall. Keep your child rear-facing until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight allowed by the seat.
When should I turn the One4Life forward-facing?
Turn the seat forward-facing only after your child has outgrown the rear-facing height or weight limit and meets all forward-facing requirements. Forward-facing harness mode begins at 30 lbs and 35 inches tall.
When should I switch from the harness to booster mode?
Keep your child in the five-point harness until they reach its maximum height or weight limit whenever possible. Before switching, the child must meet the booster requirements and be mature enough to remain seated correctly with the vehicle lap-and-shoulder belt throughout every ride.
How does ClickTight installation work?
Open the ClickTight panel, route and buckle the vehicle seat belt through the correct belt path, remove excess slack, and close the panel. Always confirm the installation using the car seat user guide and vehicle owner's manual.
Can the One4Life be installed with LATCH?
Yes. The One4Life can be installed using an approved lower-anchor method or the vehicle seat belt. Use only one installation method at a time unless the user guide specifically states otherwise.
Should the top tether be used when forward-facing?
Yes. Britax recommends using the top tether whenever the One4Life is installed in forward-facing harness mode. The tether is used with either an approved seat-belt installation or lower-anchor installation.
When should the infant insert be removed?
The infant insert may be used rear-facing for children weighing 20 lbs or less and must be removed once the child exceeds the limit printed on the insert. Follow the instructions for the insert supplied with your exact model.
Will the Britax One4Life fit three across?
The standard One4Life is approximately 19.5 inches wide and is not specifically designed as a slim three-across car seat. Fit depends on the vehicle, seating positions, and the other passengers or car seats in the row.
Can the Britax One4Life be used on an airplane?
The One4Life may be used on an aircraft in rear-facing or forward-facing harness mode when permitted by the airline and installed according to the aircraft instructions in the user guide. Booster mode cannot be used because aircraft seats do not provide a lap-and-shoulder belt.
Can the One4Life cover and cup holders be washed?
The SafeWash cover is machine washable and dryer safe. The removable cup holders can also be cleaned separately. Follow the care instructions supplied with your exact model.
When does the Britax One4Life expire?
The One4Life has a usable life of ten years from its date of manufacture. Check the label on your individual seat for its manufacturing and expiration information.
