This Privacy Policy explains how Capital Kidz ("Capital Kidz," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you visit or make a purchase from www.capitalkidz.com (the "Site"), or when you communicate with us by email, text, or phone.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Who We Are

Capital Kidz is a retailer of baby and children's products. Our online store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to you. Our mailing address and contact details are in Section 12.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and shipping/billing address
  • Order details and purchase history
  • Payment information (processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers)
  • Account login details, if you create an account
  • Reviews, photos, messages, or other content you submit
  • Marketing preferences (for example, if you sign up for email or text updates)

Information we collect automatically when you visit:

  • Device and browser type, operating system, and IP address
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time on site, and the website that referred you

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing for advertising and analytics may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under certain state laws — see Section 8 for how to opt out.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your cart and preferences, measure traffic, and (with your permission where required) deliver relevant advertising. These generally fall into a few categories:

6. Marketing — Email and Text Messages

Email. If you opt in, we may send you promotions, new-arrival announcements, and updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us at service@capitalkidz.com. We honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and every marketing email includes our mailing address.

Text messages (SMS/MMS). If you opt in to our text program, we may send marketing and order-related texts to the number you provide.

  • Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help at any time. You may also opt out by emailing service@capitalkidz.com or calling 800-422-5439.
  • We do not sell or share your mobile opt-in information or phone number with third parties for their own marketing.
  • We will honor opt-out requests within the time required by law.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, fulfill orders, comply with legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access / know what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your personal information
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights

How to exercise your rights. Email us at service@capitalkidz.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or write to us at the address in Section 12. We will verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

State privacy laws. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states as their laws take effect — have the rights listed above. To opt out of any sale or sharing for targeted advertising, email us with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information."

Right to appeal. If we decline your privacy request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing service@capitalkidz.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within the time your state's law requires.

9. Children's Privacy

Although we sell products for babies and children, our Site is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at service@capitalkidz.com and we will delete it.

10. Security & International Note

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Our Site is operated from the United States; if you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
