At a Glance
The Britax Poplar is a slim 2-in-1 convertible car seat for babies and toddlers from 5 to 65 lb. It installs rear-facing from 5 to 50 lb, then changes to a forward-facing 5-point harness seat from 30 to 65 lb. At only 17 inches wide, it is a practical choice for smaller back seats and families arranging multiple car seats.
The parent-friendly feature that stands out is ClickTight installation. Open the seat, route and buckle the vehicle seat belt, then close the seat. The system helps take much of the guesswork out of getting a secure installation. Always follow the Britax user guide and your vehicle owner's manual.

Who the Britax Poplar Is For
The Poplar is a strong fit for a family moving out of an infant carrier and into a car seat that can stay rear-facing longer, then convert to forward-facing harness mode. Its narrow profile is especially useful in compact vehicles or back seats shared with other passengers or car seats. It remains installed in the vehicle; it is not a detachable infant carrier and does not attach to a stroller.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is the Britax Poplar installed?
ClickTight uses an open belt path: open the seat, route and buckle the vehicle belt, then close the seat. Correct installation still requires the Poplar manual and the vehicle owner's manual.
Can the Poplar fit three car seats across?
Its 17-inch width is designed to save back-seat space, but Britax does not guarantee three-across fit in every vehicle. Fit depends on the vehicle, adjacent seats, and installation positions.
How long can a child ride rear-facing?
The Poplar rear-facing limits are 5–50 lb and 18–49 in. Britax recommends rear-facing until the child reaches the highest rear-facing limit allowed by the seat.
Is the Poplar a detachable infant carrier?
No. It stays installed in the vehicle and does not attach to a stroller.
Can the cover and cup holders be washed?
The SafeWash cover is machine washable and dryer friendly, and the two removable cup holders are dishwasher safe. Follow the care labels.
What are the warranty and expiration periods?
Britax lists a 1-year limited manufacturer warranty and a 10-year expiration for the Poplar. Terms and the date printed on the seat control.
