WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE CAPITAL KIDZ

A chair for the life you actually live

A parent folding a lightweight adaptive chair beside a car

Morning

Into the car, no struggle

The grab-and-go Coche XL is light enough to lift with one arm and folds in seconds — so heading out the door is just that. Out the door.

Every school day

Built for the long haul

The Maclaren Major Elite is the one that lasts — a tough aluminum frame and a footplate that grows in three positions, so the chair you choose this year still fits the child you'll know next year.

On the trail with everyone else

When the path turns to gravel, sand or grass, the Baby Jogger Freedom keeps going — big 16-inch wheels and room for an older child or young adult, right alongside the family.

Made to fit

When fit needs to be exact

For children who need real postural support, the Adaptive Star Axiom line is sized to your child — Endeavour, Lassen, Improv and Phoenix, in size classes 2, 3 and 4. This is where it helps to talk to a real person, and your child's therapist or clinician can guide the fit.

BEFORE YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET

It's a medical device — and you may be able to get part of the cost back from insurance.

Most of these chairs are durable medical equipment (DME) — so some families are able to get part of the cost reimbursed through their health insurance, Medicaid, or an HSA/FSA, usually with a Letter of Medical Necessity from your doctor. It's never guaranteed: every plan is different, and many insurers only cover equipment bought through an in-network supplier — so it's worth checking with your insurer before you buy. If you'd like to try, we make it easy — we'll give you an itemized quote and the product details your doctor needs to support the claim.

Ask us about insurance & funding

Coverage is most common for the positioning and mobility chairs. We provide documentation to support your claim — we don't bill insurance and can't guarantee an outcome. Always check with your insurer and your child's doctor. Families also explore grants from groups like the UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation, First Hand Foundation, Variety and Wheel to Walk.
