Quick answer: The Minu V3 uses adapter 0904-MMA-WW for UPPAbaby Aria and Mesa infant car seats, or adapter 0901-MXA-WW for specifically supported third-party infant seats. Choose by the exact stroller generation, car-seat model and adapter part number—not brand name alone.
This is a sourced buying guide, not a Capital Kidz hands-on test. We checked U.S. manufacturer documentation and the Capital Kidz catalog on October 19, 2026. Specifications describe the model; fit and availability still depend on the exact product you choose.
First, make sure your stroller is a Minu V3
The original Minu, Minu V2 and Minu V3 do not all use the same adapter. Start with the model label on the stroller or your purchase record. A secondhand listing that says only “Minu adapter” leaves the most important question unanswered.
UPPAbaby has a separate adapter listing for Minu/Minu V2. That older listing also mentions Bassinet V2 compatibility. Do not transfer those claims to the Minu V3. Similar names and similar-looking connectors are not enough to establish a compatible combination.
Which adapter family should you check?
Aria or Mesa
Part 0904-MMA-WW
UPPAbaby’s current U.S. adapter page lists Aria and all Mesa infant car seats. Its older feature panel names Aria, Mesa V2 and Mesa Max. For a newer generation, match the exact car-seat manual and current manufacturer confirmation before use.

Part 0901-MXA-WW
The manufacturer maintains a model-specific list spanning selected Nuna, Maxi-Cosi, Cybex and Clek seats, with Joie Mint also named on the current page. This is not approval for every seat made by those brands.

Manufacturer pages checked October 19, 2026. “Named” means listed by UPPAbaby, not tested by Capital Kidz. This table does not establish that a differently named market version or a newer generation fits.
| Brand | Exact model names | Adapter SKU | Evidence / limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| UPPAbaby | Aria (generation not specified), Mesa V2, Mesa Max | 0904-MMA-WW | Explicitly named in the current feature panel. |

| Maxi-Cosi | Mico Max 30; Mico NXT; Mico Max Plus; Mico AP; Mico Plus | 0901-MXA-WW | Named on the manufacturer list. |
| Cybex | Aton; Aton 2; Aton Q; Aton 5; Aton M | 0901-MXA-WW | Named on the manufacturer list. |
| Clek | Liing; Liingo | 0901-MXA-WW | Named on the manufacturer list. |

| Joie | Mint | 0901-MXA-WW: verify pairing | Named in the page heading, but absent from the detailed compatibility list we checked. Confirm exact current instructions. |
| BeSafe or another unlisted model | No exact pairing established by these sources | Unconfirmed | Do not infer fit from a retailer title, brand or similar name. |

Do not let a retailer title decide compatibility
The Capital Kidz listing for 0901-MXA-WW currently has a title mentioning Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Cybex and BeSafe. The manufacturer’s U.S. list we checked does not establish BeSafe compatibility. We therefore do not recommend a BeSafe combination from that title. Confirm the exact seat with UPPAbaby first.
A convertible seat is not an infant carrier simply because its brand appears above. Use only the exact approved combination.
The adapter stocked by Capital Kidz carries part number 0901-MXA-WW. You can check that exact adapter listing, then compare its part number and your car-seat label against the manufacturer’s current instructions. If any of the three disagree, resolve the mismatch before ordering or using the combination.
A short check before your first transfer
- Identify all three parts: Minu V3, the full infant car-seat model name, and the correct adapter SKU.
- Read both manuals: stroller/adapter instructions and the car-seat instructions apply together.
- Set it up exactly as directed: the adapter pages call for fully reclining the stroller seat for attachment. Follow the color-coded indicators and confirm secure engagement.
- Practice while stationary: learn attachment and removal before the first car-to-stroller trip. An apparent fit is not a substitute for an approved combination.
Do the adapters have to come off for folding?
UPPAbaby describes both current Minu V3 adapter families as fold-friendly. The Aria/Mesa adapters adjust down to fold with the stroller. Follow the instructions for your exact adapter, and remove the child and infant car seat before folding. Fold compatibility does not mean the complete travel system folds with the carrier attached.
Do you need a car seat to use the Minu V3 from birth?
No. The Minu V3’s stroller seat has its own from-birth configuration, described in its North American manual. An infant car-seat adapter solves a transfer problem. It is not a required newborn-seat conversion kit. Choose it when you want that connection and already have, or intend to buy, a compatible infant carrier.
